FRIDAY

GO, RANGERS, GO!!!

Well, Daniel and I (Ron) were getting eerily good at predicting what would happen at the game tonite... Daniel predicted a strike and was right. I predicted a foul, and was correct. When Sammy Sosa stepped to the plate with the bases loaded, we said "get ready for a grand slam." And he got one. It's because of us. Woo-hoo!!!

The Great American Ballpark in Cincinnati was a lot of fun tonite! It was good to get out and blow off some steam. The surrounding fans were good sports, and seemed to enjoy throwing some good-natured trash-talk our way. I'd say we ignored them, but that would be a misrepresentation... What happened was we actually drowned them out with our cheering! 100+ excited students is a sonic force to be reckoned with! The 20,000 Reds fans had no chance against us.

There were some great spiritual moments today, as well. We sang at a high school-age guys' children's home after lunch, which was a cool experience. VP did what they always do on tour - they sang their hearts out! I heard several of the adults talking about how cool it is that our group sings for 10 people with the same enthusiasm and spirit as they do for 1,200. And they worshiped like nothing else. FACEDOWN seems to be one of their favorites - the Holy Spirit's presence was tangible as they lifted their faces (ironic...) and sang their worship to our Father. It was truly an incredible experience.

Thank you for sending us out this summer. We are tired, but satisfied. God is working among us. Students are experiencing Him, and I am glad for it. Please keep praying that He will break through to them and they will then sell out to Him completely.
