HAPPY FATHER'S DAY!!!

To all of you dads out there - hope this is your best father's day ever! We miss you!

We've had a fantastic day! We had to get creative to get things done with some curve balls thrown at our schedule, but it's worked out and all is still under control. It's 9:30PM EST, and the sports camp directors and instructors are putting the finishing touches on plans, getting equipment ready, and generally preparing for our first batch of children in the morning. Please keep praying for safety and a really incredible time for our students as well as the children and their families who we will see tomorrow.

Today in a nutshell: We left Sandusky this morning and arrived in Detroit around lunchtime to unload and get settled into our dorm rooms. These are very nice rooms, btw! Then we drove all over Detroit (and I'm not convinced we didn't go to Chicago...) looking for something for lunch. After finally finding that, we drove back to the dorms and got ready to go sing in Fenton (an hour away). Side note: thanks to our laundry ladies - clean shirts rock! We had a great time singing for the community and members of Parkway Community Church in a beautiful town park this evening. After singing, Pastor Andrew took us to Uncle Ray's ice cream, and man, was that goooood!

So now we're back "home", getting ready for our devotion and family time before getting a little sleep to be ready for tomorrow.

There are a lot of pictures today, thanks to several of the students. My camera battery died (I blame Pletcher), so they filled in the gap for us.

I've also added several pictures to the previous tour picture albums, so you may want to go back through them for another glance.

Thanks for letting us hang out with your kids. They are awesome!

Enjoy the photos, and we'll talk to you tomorrow. BTW, the annual father's day video should be in today's photo album. It's BIG! - 93MB or so. But it's there in case you want to download your very own copy...
